about the studio
our values
-
we’re a proud black woman-owned business + we’re HBCU-made (aggie pride). the core of our passion is to bring joy, healing, and wellness to the world around us while centering Black artists, Black people, and Black communities.
-
we love our work to feel good. the best magic happens when there’s an authentic, feel-good connection and aligned values with a client and/or community.
-
we’re all human first. we’re grounded in love as both a feeling and an action. we prioritize taking care of ourselves and taking care of one another.
-
we know what being overworked is like, and we reject it.
we accept limited clients and projects per month. we do this to ensure we are a great fit for our clients, can accomplish client goals, build meaningful relationships, avoid burnout, carve out time for life and our loved ones, and maintain self-care practices.
we’ll continue to shape our environment so we can best thrive.
-
we’re always learning and growing. a part of figuring out life, art, and business is being flexible and self-aware enough to reevaluate and make changes as necessary. we make changes, a lot. and are working to make more.
-
we aim for the delicate balance between accountability and grace, which encourages transparency and feeling seen as full humans. when we hold ourselves and others accountable, with clarity and compassion, we give ourselves the opportunity to better care and rise to our full potential.
-
naming, embracing, and respecting who we are and who the people around us are—the roles we play, the identities that shape our lives, and awareness of the privileges we hold.
