coral sunset

Coral Sunset was created in 2019 and first went into production in 2020. It has gathered much excitement; thus, Coral Sunset is a vibrant grace studio signature print.

This print was inspired by research and response. I chose to dive deeper into understanding the patterns of Africa—textiles I already identify with and utilize in my work. To create my croquis, I was inspired by the following types of textiles: Shweshwe – South Africa, Ankara – Nigeria (West Africa), Baoule – Cote d’Ivoire (West Africa), Chitenge – Zambia (East Africa), and Kente – Ghana (West Africa).
